What are dentures?
If a patient is missing most or all of their teeth, our dentist may recommend dentures in York, Pennsylvania. A denture is a removable appliance that replaces the missing teeth and tissues in your smile. Dentures will restore the beauty and functionality of your smile.
What types of dentures are available?
At Heritage Dental, Dr. Charles Anonye offers complete dentures and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when a patient is missing all of their natural teeth. Partial dentures are used when one or more teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw. Talk to our dentist to learn which type of denture is right for you.
How are dentures made?
The denture making process takes several weeks and a few appointments. Once our dentist has decided which type of denture is right for your needs, he will take impressions of your jaw and measurements of how your jaws relate to each other. Using these impressions and measurements, models are formed in the exact shape of your future dentures. Our dentist will have you try these models on several times so the fit, shape, and color can be adjusted. Once everything is as it should be, your final dentures will be cast.
